MOTHEROOT

Creation often

needs two hearts

one to root

and one to flower

One to sustain

in time of drouth

and hold fast

against winds of pain

the fragile bloom

that in the glory

of its hour

affirms a heart

unsung, unseen.

  2. I don't know if you carry this tradition in the USA?, but my daughter and I will be assembling our shoe box for the Christmas Child appeal campaign this weekend. Each box is filled with goodies for a child that perhaps has no parents at all.

  4. Thank you Noelle for sharing such a wonderful poem with so much depth in it. The mother and child picture goes so well with the poem. It really is a blessing to have your mothers near as the fragile bloom begins to blossom to its full glory. In times of drought and pain who can be more understanding and a better guide than our own mothers.
